Digital communications consultancy
This often involves a mixture of:
- strategy
- delivery
- analysis of results.
Almost all the projects I work on are focused around campaigning, fundraising or supporter recruitment, and often a mixture of all of these. Other areas I work on include reactivation of lapsed supporters and data security and privacy.
I have a huge amount of experience using the following tools and channels:
- Email marketing
- Google ads
- Facebook ads
- Google analytics / matomo
I am also highly experienced in using a lot of the software many NGOs and charities use for campaigning and fundraising, notably:
- Engaging Networks
- Impact Stack
I don’t think that things could have gone better – we were delighted.

Web design and development
I work on web design and development projects in Engaging Networks and WordPress. I built my first website in 1997.
I am an Engaging Networks accredited partner, and frequently work together with Joe Derry Hall to produce campaign actions and donation pages that extend the functionality available within the software.
I have been building websites using WordPress since 2008.

Glyn understood perfectly what we needed and presented us with a variety of different solutions to fit our budget.

Digital security and privacy
I have developed training sessions in digital security and privacy in English and German and which are designed for freelancers working from home or remote workers and campaigners and activists.
Glyn’s training session was highly praised by participants.

Innovation in the non-profit sector
I am currently working with Amber Macintyre on a set of tools that will help organisations develop campaign strategies, supporter journeys and produce audience-focused website information architecture. We have used initial iterations of these tools very successfully on a number of projects.
Together with Rebecca Turner and Andrew Taylor Dawson I set up Fundraising Space in 2020.
I am currently exploring ways for Factory Berlin to encourage effective collaboration with the non-profit sector.
Photography
From 2003 until 2010 I worked as a freelance photographer, and my work was used in all UK national newspapers as well as internationally in publications including Le Monde, Gazetto dello Sport and L’Equipe.
I also set up and ran a stock image library together with Mike Finn-Kelcey.
